The Yamaha XSR700 is a retro-style motorcycle that was first introduced in 2016. It is based on the Yamaha MT-07 platform and shares the same engine, frame, and suspension components. However, the XSR700 features a more classic styling with a round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, and a low-slung exhaust.
The XSR700 is powered by a liquid-cooled, 689cc, parallel-twin engine that produces around 73 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque. It has a six-speed gear box and a slipper clutch that helps to reduce rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifting.
The bike features a lightweight steel frame and an adjustable suspension system with 5.1 inches of travel in the front and 5.8 inches in the rear. The braking system consists of dual 282mm discs in the front and a single 245mm disc in the rear, with ABS as standard.
Other notable features of the XSR700 include LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a range of accessories that allow riders to customise their bike to their liking.
