Robust and friendly to the environment, Hayter has developed this quality lawn mower with a choice of three ways to dispose of grass clippings – rear collection, side discharge and recycling. The increasingly popular recycling method helps to maintain a healthy and green lawn by recirculating the grass clippings into a fine mulch and then returning them back into the lawn where they decompose, returning nutrients and moisture back to the soil. The side discharge chute allows clippings to be dispersed when not mulching or collecting.
The Hayter R53S lawn mower features a robust steel cutter deck with a 53cm width of cut. It is fitted with an electric start Briggs and Stratton ReadyStart™ engine and propelled by the unique Sens-a-Speed™ variable speed transmission which allows the mower to automatically adapt to your working pace from 0mph to 4.7mph.
Independent height of cut levers mounted on each wheel allow the cutting height to be adjusted through eight stages from 25mm to 114mm. The large 55-litre grass bag can be lifted through the handlebars for easy emptying. The handlebars can be easily adjusted to different heights to suit the operator and incorporate full-width Operator Presence Control lever with soft grip for added comfort. The OPC control, when released, stops the engine and cutter blade completely as a safety feature. A foot-operated storage lever also allows the handlebars to move into the upright or fold down position for easy storage. The grass bag can be stored on the handlebars when not in use for more compact storage.
